You don’t have to have an insurance website to benefit from promoting insurance affiliate programmes online.
For example
- Travel Websites can benefit from displaying ads for Travel Insurance, or Car Hire Insurance
- Electronics sites can benefit from showing Gadget Insurance or Warranty ads
- Mobile (Cell phone) sites can also benefit from promoting mobile phone or gadget insurance
The easiest way is to simply ad banners or buttons to the relevant pages on your website. Those will a bit more technical knowhow could add a separate page to their website that talks about insurance in general terms before sending users off through an affiliate link.
Those with a lot more skills could even build a quote function on every page of the site so:
“Get an insurance quote for this Holiday”
“Get a no obligation insurance quote for this gadget”
These types of links are probably the best for conversion as people that have drilled far into your site will then be more likely to buy from you or your affiliate links
But why promote insurance?
Firstly because it is a value add. If you have any type of affiliate website there is probably a way of promoting insurance.
Secondly commission values are usually very good. For example on a gadget site you might earn $2 or $3 per sale of the actual gadget but the insurance could earn you an additional $13.00. It will not take many of those to make a real difference to your commission payments.
