Here are some ideas to help you drive more revenue to your affiliate links….
1. Add a Resources section to your site
It could be that you just build a directory of products and services and use your affiliate links to direct users to our offers.
2. Use Multiple Techniques
We provide a range of banners and text links. Use both techniques as some visitors will be attracted by the visual imagery while others will click on text links.
3. Emails
If you have a mailing list, you could send out an email about a given product or service or add advertisements into your normal email. Or if you have an autoresponder system, why not add Affiliate links into your preconfigured mailings or a build a separate email as a followup system?
4. Use your Email or Forum Signature
Why not vary your email or forum signature and have some affiliate links embedded into it? Use one of our short text ads on your email signature.
5. Build a Mini Site
You could even build a separate site just with affiliate program links. Lots of companies do this with “name”recommends.com or something like this and this site has a list of recommended Affiliate products, even reviews in some cases.
6. Write an article about the product or service
One great way to add some relevance to your offers is to add some editorial content about it. While you are not authorised to give advice and use such terms as “this is the best product for you”. You can take a journalists view and create an article about what the product is, what is does, and give some ideas about is benefits. Once written you can then add some text links which will give much more relevance to them and will attract more clicks.
7. Limit the number of offers per page
Having fewer offers on a page will make it easier for visitors to make a decision. Bombarding them with lots of creatives and offers per page will be overwhelming and confusing. Don’t turn your site into a flea market. Have a select number of fewer adverts per page. You will find your click throughs will increase.
